I am Emily



I run Female Abroad where I virtually assist various businesses and people with my variety of skills. Over the last 20 year's I have worn a lot of different hats from Worker Bee to Sales, Website Designer to Magazine Consultant, Operations to Customer Service, Marketing to Management, Designer to Teacher. With my variety of talents I realized that I could go virtual, open my own business, do the thing I love to do the most - helping people.

  • I will be professional at all times especially when representing my client (when asked to do so)
  • I will accurately represented what my capabilities are and accurately represent my skills and limitations. I am only offering services that I know I can meet (and hopefully) exceed your expectations of. I will inform you of any conditions that may limit my effectiveness that I am aware of at the start of a project
  • I will seek to deal with colleagues, suppliers and employees in a fair and equitable manner, and maintain the highest standards of personal conduct. I highly value each client relationship and will not place one client above another.
  • Client information will be held in the strictest of confidence and will not be shared with others or used for personal gain. I will safeguard and protect all information entrusted to me.

  • I will maintain accurate and sufficient records. I will ensure that all record (electronic and physical) are disposed of in a confidential and secure manner.


Confidentiality Agreement

Female Abroad understands that your secrets are what makes you unique and therefor respects your privacy. All information collected from your company is strictly kept private and confidential. I will not disclose or share your confidential information with any other party at any time unless you provide pre-written approval to do so. With all contracts, I will provide a signed NDA as part of the Privacy Act.


I acknowledge that during the course of my contract and my work assignments for you and/or your business, I will acquire information which is confidential to you and/or your business, or to related corporations, persons, or institutions, including but not limited to:


(a) product design and manufacturing information;

(b) all present and prospective customers, and related information;

(c) pricing and sales policies, techniques and concepts;

(d) secret or confidential information which you and/or your business obtains from third parties;

(e) all suppliers of you and/or your business;

(f) trade secrets;

(g) strategic planning;

(h) inventions;

(i) research data;

(j) papers;

(k) developments and conclusions; and

(l) information relating to your clients or staff.


I acknowledge and agree that such information is the exclusive property of you and/or your business or such related party and that the information could be used to the detriment of you and/or your business. I therefore undertake to treat confidentially all such information and agree not to disclose any such information to any person either during the term of my contract under this Agreement (except as may be necessary in the proper discharge of my contractual obligations) or, at any time after the date of the end of our contract.


I agree that upon completion of our contract, I will return to you all drawings, blueprints, records, software and data and other media that I may have taken possession of during my work assignment.

Where are you located? I'm not in Canada.

That is fine if you are not in Canada as we have systems in place to work remotely with international clients no matter their physical location.


How can I contact you?

Who is your primary clientele?

We work best with people and small businesses that are just getting started on their business / entrepreneurial journey as well as ones that are growing into the next step. Do you customize packages?

We usually can as the packages we offer are ones that have been created / tweaked from customers asking for certain assistance with items.


What do you need from me?

First we will have a 15-minute consultation just to make sure that we are a good fit for each other. From there we will work with you to find the best solution for what you require and will provide you with the options. Once you decide we will sent a contract that lays out everything you need to know from us and an invoice which will have payment terms; this invoice will either need to have the deposit paid or be paid in full. Once the invoice is paid as per the terms and the contract is signed we can book the consultation where we go over specifics like deadlines, items that I require from you (log ins, graphics, logos, etc), expectations, etc. With that meeting completed you will be given access to the online client portal where you will find the project tasks for tracking purposes, copies of the important paperwork, files that will be required, and more.


What is included in a project?
Inclusions depend on the service package that you have selected. If you have specific questions on one that interests you please contact us for more specific information on it.


What is the payment policy?
This varies from package to package but it is typically 50% deposit to begin if the project is over C$ 2,500 before tax. If it is C$ 2,499 or under then it is full pre-payment before we begin. If there is a contract in place for a set length of time and it is cancelled prematurely then it is usually full payment due at time of cancellation + a cancellation fee. The exact terms for your package / service will be spelt out in your contact and on your invoice so please follow those.


What is your process and timeline?

During the 15-minute consultation we will ask about what your timeline / deadline is and if it something that we can make happen then we will let you know. If it is tight or there will be a rush fee then we will also let that be known either during this call or shortly after once we are able to have a better look at our schedule. Each package timeline is different so we can speak to the specific project at that time.


How do I send files or information and images?

Once you are a client you will be able to upload them to your online portal access. After the project is done or if it is a file that has not been used for a year it will be archived. You can request files to be deleted at anytime via the online portal. If the project ends and you do not continue working with us, files will be stored for 30-days before being deleted from our portal and/or Archive. Once deleted, files cannot be retrieved.


How do I give feedback?

We love constructive feedback. In the online portal you can leave us tickets for various things (ex. changes, issues, etc) or you can always reach us. Upon signing the contract we will provide you with our contact information - phone number, emergency line, email, and meeting platform access.
